Doppelgänger
This is not your father's twin fin.
The doppelgänger is based on the twin fin designs that won 4 world championships in the late 70's and early 80's, tweaked with some modern performance improvements.
Twin fins were known for being fast and loose. However, they lacked some stability without the center fin. Later a small stabilizer fin was added making it a twin finner type design. This twin finner configuration developed a cult following with Mark Richards and later the Channel Islands model. I widened the tail a bit from the extremely pulled swallow to make the design more Jersey specific.
With this configuration the Doppelgänger can be ridden as a twin, twin plus stabilizer, or thruster providing options for a broad range of surf conditions from waist high to overhead.
The bottom design features a low entry rocker into a single concave that transitions into a double concave in front of the fins set in vee out the tail. A beak nose allows the board to carry plenty of volume for added paddling ease. Ride this board about an inch or two longer than you are tall and add some volume..
